Warranty

Manufacturer's warranty:
The warranty that Lenovo offers with their products.

Most products have a one-year manufacturer's warranty. The terms and conditions vary per product. In addition to the manufacturer's warranty, various upgrades are possible.

Warranty services:
  • On-site: Within a few days, a Lenovo repair technician will come to your location for repair.
  • Bring-in/carry-in: return the defective product to an authorized Lenovo warranty service provider.
  • Depot repair: the defective product will be collected and repaired at a Lenovo repair center. After repair the product will be returned.

Warranty extensions
  • Warranty upgrade: from bring-in to on-site warranty, or an extension of the warranty period.
  • Additional services: Accidental damage protection or warranty extension on a battery.

Time of purchase warranty:
During the entire warranty period, it is possible to purchase a warranty extension once. Keep in mind that the start date of the warranty remains the same.

Example: a Lenovo ThinkPad has a 3-year depot warranty. After 2.5 years you buy an upgrade to 5 years on-site. That means that from that moment on you still have 2.5 years on-site warranty.
